  AutoSTRIPE is the newest road striping and traffic management design software for Australia and New Zealand, allowing engineers to produce traffic management and road layout drawings quickly within the AutoCAD environment. AutoSTRIPE provides many drawing tools enabling the complete range of road markings, complying with the local Road Rules or Land Transport Rules and Traffic Control Device Manuals, to be drawn. There are also many functions to construct complex and multi-item markings, such as lines of parking bays, with ease and speed. AutoSTRIPE allows for permitted variations, and constrains these within the allowable minimums and maximum dimensions where appropriate. It also provides a library of linetypes, standard symbols and text markings, pre-drawn to the correct size and shape. These combine to become a complete set of all lines, symbols, hatching, parking bays and text road markings that traffic engineers require.

All drawings are produced in standard AutoCAD format and can therefore easily be exchanged between departments and organisations.

AutoSTRIPE also has many utility functions such as the fast display and manipulation of 3D views from the standard 2D drawing, automatic label creation and instant quantity extraction, including cost estimates where rates are available, from the design drawings.

  Every Marking Required: All markings that conform to the Road Rules, Land Transport Rules and Traffic Control Devices manuals can be drawn. Additional striping can be drawn for subsequent authorisation.   Editing With Ease: AutoSTRIPE Lines, Symbols and Text have rule based intelligence built in, to enable their accurate placement. Adjustments can easily be made easily using a system of AutoCAD grips. The intelligence maintains striping ‘dash and mark’ spacing throughout any editing and subsequent alteration.  
  Draw Complex Markings Quickly: Diagonal hatching, parking bays, pedestrian crossings, bus stop boxes, and other more involved markings can be quickly drawn with a minimum of user ‘picks’.   Labels and Quantities: Easily add labels and extract quantities. AutoSTRIPE allows for many different types of labels to be created quickly and automatically. Quantities can be extracted and tabulated ready to be put into a Bill of Quantities (BoQ)  
  Layers and Colours: AutoSTRIPE gives users total control over the layers and colours used for the various markings.   3D images from 2D plans: AutoSTRIPE quickly produces 3D ‘driver’s eye’ views, or views from a bird’s eye perspective. These plans can help consultation presentations to be understood

AutoSTRIPE can draw a full range of linetypes from the rules and manuals. All ‘line plus gap’ combinations are included as well as Urban and Rural modules, single and double continuous markings.
 
All types of waiting restrictions and parking bays can be drawn. AutoSTRIPE can be used to create plans for Traffic Regulations or Parking restrictions for consultation and implementation.
 
         
  Green Transport Strategies   White Diagonal Hatchings  
 
To help with green transport strategies all markings associated with bus lanes, bus stops, cycle tracks, cycle lanes and other bus or cycle facilities can be drawn.
 
45° diagonal white hatchings for the centre of the road or for nearside/offside obstructions can also be drawn in one straight forward routine. Again this saves a great deal of time over drawing markings individually.
 
         
  3D Viewing and 3D furniture   Labelling  
 
AutoSTRIPE generates driver’s 3D view automatically, useful for design stage safety audits. 3D features to enhance drawings include buildings, walls, trees, signs and pedestrian railings allows sight lines to be checked.
 
AutoSTRIPE provides for the labelling of each type of marking drawn. It also has a wealth of options to customise the way the labels are drawn to fit users’ requirements.
 
         
  Quantities   Standard Drawing Format and Common Staff Skills  
 
AutoSTRIPE will automatically calculate and tabulate the quantities of each type of marking on a drawing and even estimate cost, saving hours over manual calculation methods.
