KeyACCIDENT the leading accident analysis system in the UK, this allows engineers to quickly identify Road Traffic Accident (RTA) clusters, analyse each area graphically and detect common causes. A database module enables the user to manage the accident data and allows for complex searches to be built up easily. Forty plus reports can be automatically generated from the results of a search. These are broken down into statistical reports or detailed information about the accidents themselves. All reports can be printed or exported.

Geographical Information System (GIS) searches can be undertaken to identify accidents at a particular site and severity symbols plotted. The detail of these accidents can be viewed, alternatively a graphical stick diagram can be automatically produced to analyse the accidents in a group. Balloon diagrams can also be plotted to show more detail on the map for presentation purposes.

  KeyACCIDENT in Detail
  GIS Searching   Stick Diagram Creation

KeyOSC Mapping Extents Enquiries can be made geographically, using the GIS module, by selecting irregular polygon, buffer, circular or rectangular search areas. A number of different detailed symbols can then be automatically displayed on OS Mastermap® mapping.

Stick diagrams showing the detail of a GIS or database search can be generated, these can then be manipulated to show accidents with common attributes. These stick diagrams can be drawn individually with a leader pointing to the actual location of the accident on a map or grouped as required.

Efficient Data Management   Cluster Site Ananlysis - simple

The database module allows for the effortless management of accident data as well as advanced interrogation of the database and production of extensive reports.

Cluster sites of accidents can be generated, using sophisticated search routines, quickly so that time can be spent in detailed analysis of these sites. A wizard is available to guide in the generation of many cluster types; such as pedestrians, motorcycles, adverse conditions etc.

Cluster Site Analysis - advanced    Search Tools

Clusters can be ranked so that recent or more severe accidents have a higher weighting. The number of accidents at a particular location is illustrated by the size of the circle.

Complex searches can be created effortlessly using the search facility. The results can then be used to produce reports, saved for future use or plotted on a map using the GIS module.

  Extensive Reports    Site Monitoring

There are over 40 different reports that can be produced automatically. Summaries can also be produced and compared to norms throughout the whole area. Alternatively, user defined reports can be produced using Crystal Reports® (not included) and any search results can be viewed using these customer generated reports.

Once sites have been identified and remedial treatment applied they can be monitored using the site monitoring functions which automatically produce reports as required in batch mode for the sites selected.

   Balloons    User Access

In addition to Stick Diagrams, Balloon symbols can be automatically drawn highlighting the weather, road surface and lighting conditions as well as the severity of the accident and the collision diagram. These can be plotted with leaders pointing to the recorded location.

There are three levels of user access; Supervisor, Editor and Viewer. Restrictions to access can be set by the system manager. An audit trail is also provided to monitor changes to data for any record.
