  KeySIGNALS enables traffic signal and highway engineers to produce traffic signal design drawings quickly within the AutoCAD environment. It produces symbols for all authorised signal head arrangements and also incorporates some road marking lines, symbols, zig-zags and text. KeySIGNALS contains all the symbols from Traffic Advice Leaflet 01/06 and many more.

There are many in built tools and features that allow quick and accurate placement of signal heads, ducting, loops and other schematic diagrams. Using KeySIGNALS you can also instantly extract quantities and cost estimates from the drawing.

When all symbols are in place 3D views can quickly be displayed and manipulated from the 2D plan. All drawings are produced in standard AutoCAD format and therefore are easily exchanged between departments and organisations.

  Every Signal Arrangement Required: A complete library of Signal equipment and heads allows every traffic signal arrangements to be drawn which conform to TAL 01/06.   Set Out Tools: Contains many tools to assist set out and referencing of signal equipment. Pictorial head schedules can be quickly created.  
  Many Road Markings: KeySIGNALS includes those significant road markings that could be used in signal junctions and approach lanes, to allow a complete signal layout to be created.   Labels and Quantities: Easily add labels and extract quantities. KeySIGNALS quickly creates labels automatically. Quantities can be extracted and put into a Bill of Quantities (BoQ)  
  Ducting, Detectors, Loops, Staging Diagrams: KeySIGNALS has many additional functions to assist in the creation of drawing of every detail required in a Signal junction.   3D images from 2D plans: KeySIGNALS quickly produces 3D view from the driver eye viewpoint or from a bird’s eye perspective. There are 3D blocks of all the different heads and other street furniture.

  What's New in KeySIGNALS v7.0      
  Improved Signal Head Thumbnail Menus: There are more options and you can move between the different sets of thumbnails without leaving.   'Magic Magnets' introduced with Signal Poles and Ducting: This keeps the head and duct box attached to the poles and ducting. When one item is moved the other are adjusted and redrawn to the new location.  
  New Duct Objects: These allow cables to be drawn entering and leaving the ducting.   Control Cabinets have been Updated: There is now a set of generic cabinets included to reduce reliance on branded cabinets and the likelihood of them being out of date.  
  Signal Pole Numbers are now Shared Attributes: These automatically appear as attributes of items attached. This means they will update and alter if the attached heads get moved to another pole.   Some Features Available as Single Item: Hatching, multi-line text, double lines, crossings, yellow boxes and zig zags are just some of the features available as single items instead of many separate lines.

KeySIGNALS will help produce traffic signal design plans quickly. Large libraries of signal head symbols, which conform to TAL 01/06, are provided. KeySIGNALS library of symbols will cover every option ever required.
 
Designs from pedestrian crossings through to large complicated junctions can be created. Even Zig-zags for pedestrian crossings can be quickly drawn, both along a straight line and around a curve.
 
         
  Ducting Layouts and Cable runs   Staging Diagrams  
 
Ducting systems can quickly be drawn, labelled and quantified. Settings allow ducting line types, duct boxes and duct descriptions to be easily customised.
 
There is a library of symbols and easy to use routines for the creation of cabling, staging, SCOOT and Transyt of diagrams.
 
         
  Pictorial Head Schedules   3D Drivers Eye Views  
 
A schedule of signal heads can be produced, which includes a pictoral display for every individual head KeySIGNALS also includes tools for referencing the heads, phases, poles and junctions. The head references are easily converted to any user specified numbering system.
 
When KeySIGNALS enters the 3D driver eye view all the symbols drawn appear as 3D items. KeySIGNALS generates a driver’s 3D view automatically, which can be used as a safety audit tool for checking for obscured heads.
 
         
  Tactile Paving   Tools for Novice Users  
 
KeySIGNALS can draw many combinations of shapes and colours of tactile paving. Each individual paving slab is drawn to a user specified size. Labelling routines automatically generate a full description of road markings, ducts, loops and other features.
 
The vast library of different symbols can be a bit bewildering for novice signal engineers. KeySIGNALS has tools to help such as ‘build a head’ which allows the components of a head to be selected and the appropriate symbol automatically selected from the library.
 
         
  Location Plans at Any Scale   Standard Drawing Format and Common Staff Skills  
 
KeySIGNALS enables the production of drawings that can be printed at any scale with any combination of features. KeySIGNALS includes a large range of road markings using some of the efficiencies and expertise of KeyLINES, to enhance the signal layout drawings. Output from KeySIGN can be included to produce professional quality output.
 
KeySIGNALS works with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Map to transform your drawing production methods. All the facilities of this world famous CAD package can be used for input, editing and output. The standard output files can be easily and quickly exchanged with other engineering and related organisations. Existing staff knowledge and resources in AutoCAD will be retained and improved upon.
